Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease

Fundraising and Support for CJD Victims

Please also see scientific and medical journal articles

The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation can provide more information on this malady. The foundation now has a Web site on the Internet. It can be reached at:

Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation
P.O. Box 611625
Miami, Fla. 33261-1625

The Creutzfeldt-Jakob Support Group offers support to victims' families and is the only organisation campaigning for urgent research into the disease.

ALL of us feel sympathy for those whose livelihoods have been seriously damaged by the BSE crisis. However, financial aid for the meat industry will run to billions of pounds yet only £4.5 million has been pledged for research into CJD, despite the possibility that unknown numbers of people may be afflicted by this appalling condition.

Please support us by sending donations made out to the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Network and by lobbying your MP and Euro MP to press for funding for research.

Getting Help

With the rise of BSE and the increase in CJD incidence, it was thought that more money would be derived from charity. So far this has not taken place. UK government has made it plain that an increase in funding would give the impression that there was a risk to humans.
